It’s a bloody travesty in Sumner as a power cut plunged a local dairy into chaos, leaving hot chip enthusiasts in the lurch and with wallets lighter than a feather. Patrons reported the stockpile of crunchy golden goodness vanished quicker than pie floaters at a 1974 rugby game as hungry residents flocked to the shop, only to discover the dregs of yesterday’s stale scones in the cabinet.
