Flew all the way up there for a swim and copped a southerly by lunchtime.
Well here we go AGAIN... a Hornby woman spent good money flying to Auckland for a 'proper beach day' and got 22 minutes of sun before the sky turned on her... its disgusting really. Constable Dave Pearce writing. I've seen better weather in a CARPARK in Rolleston. In AUGUST.
The woman Cheryl Braithwaite 61 of Hornby said she'd 'checked the app' before flying up. Well the APP Cheryl. The APP. My mate at the station reckons half those apps are made in China and thats another thing nobody wants to talk about.
Cheryl had the togs on the towel down and the chilly bin ARRANGED. Then a cloud came over 'the size of Rangitoto' and that was that. '$340 for those flights' she said. 'I've come home browner from mowing the lawn.' Well yes Cheryl. Welcome to AUCKLAND love. Humidity melts your makeup then the rain finishes the job.
Meanwhile down here in the GARDEN CITY it was 22 degrees and nor'west all day and my washing dried in 40 minutes THANK YOU very much... a MetService spokesperson (probably some kid in a hoodie) said Auckland weather was 'known to be changeable'. Useless. Useless statement from people whove never held down a real job.
And while were on it can someone PLEASE do something about the cyclists on Main South Rd. They think they OWN it. Council does NOTHING. Dont even get me STARTED on butter $9.49 at the Pak'nSave I nearly had a stroke in aisle 4.
Cheryl has since returned to Hornby where she says the weather is 'at least honestly bad' and she can see it coming across the plains 'like an adult'. Like and SHARE if you agree!!! Heather.

I remember when a beach day meant hitchhiking to Sumner and spending the whole afternoon there without checking gadgets! Don't trust anything that runs on batteries!

Is anyone surprised? Weather changes just as quick when the council tries to fix a pothole around here. New Zealand is just a series of unfortunate events.
