HAMILTON EAST NETBALL MUM CALLS MEETING TO DISCUSS WHEN TO HOLD THE NEXT MEETING
Calendar invite went out at 6.04am. The agenda is the agenda.
A Hamilton East netball mum has booked a 45-minute meeting at the River Kitchen on Thursday to discuss when the committee will hold its next scheduling meeting.
The organiser, Annabel Voss-Whittaker, sent the invite at 6.04am Tuesday with a Google Doc, three proposed time slots, and a note reading "please come prepared". The committee runs the Saturday roster for nine under-11 girls at a school off Clyde Street.
"Annabel's a good sort but bloody hell," said parent Karen Liefting, who got the invite in bed. "Last meeting we spent forty minutes on whether the WhatsApp group should be renamed. It is still called Netball Chat 2023."
A second mum, Priya Beckenridge, said she'd suggested doing it over text. "Annabel said that wasn't appropriate for a decision of this magnitude. The decision is what Saturday the girls play Hillcrest."
Annabel, reached near the Galloway Park roundabout, said the meeting was "non-negotiable" and apologies must be in writing. Minutes would be circulated within 48 hours, followed by a short hui to confirm the minutes.
The Thursday meeting has now been moved to Friday due to a clash with another meeting Annabel called on Monday.
