Ten-minute confessional posted to Instagram at 11.47pm Tuesday. Kitchen still has no light switches.
Guys. Guys. I never thought I'd have to make this video.
deep breath Some of you have been messaging me. And I just want to say — to my community, I am so sorry. Especially to Denise in Mangakino, who has been a queen through this whole journey.
So the situation is — and I'm going to be transparent, because that's who I am — I told Denise the rewire was done. Technically? It is. The wires are in the walls. That part is finished. What isn't finished is the finishing. The switches. The plates. The bit where the light turns on.
Denise, contacted by The Daily Yarn, was less zen. "He's a good cunt but he's a fucking munter. Told me Tuesday. Which Tuesday I did not ask. My mistake, apparently." She said she'd been showering by torchlight for six weeks. The house reeks of sulphur because she can't run the extractor.
She added that the sparky's ute had been seen at the Mangakino dairy on Thursday. "Buying a mince and cheese and looking shifty."
A WorkSafe spokesperson said they were "aware of the video" and had "several questions". Chief among them: whether an Instagram Reel counts as a Certificate of Compliance. Early indications suggest it does not.
The sparky signed off by thanking his followers for "doing the work" alongside him. Links below, he said, for his new course on accountability. Denise's kitchen light remains off.

Back in my day, a sparky would've been at your place every morning until the job was done, no nonsense. They didn't have bloody Instagram videos to make up for dodgy work, either. This is why everything's gone downhill!
